This was the big announcement in our midweek service Wednesday night: The Source for Women of Houston, an organization that exists to open pro-life CPCs around our city in order to combat Planned Parenthood, has decided to put their 5th Ward CPC in NEHBC's Farrington Mission!
The Source for Women provides their own funding, 4D ultrasound machine and technician, director, assistant director, counselors, etc. They provide financially for the 1st year of the baby's life. They provide a 2 year program to help the mothers break the cycle of crisis (life skills courses, job training, how to care for family, money management, etc). Their end goal is church planting--as the mothers are led to faith in Christ, they are plugged into local churches.
We are in the final stages of working out some logistics, but we are hoping the CPC opens within the next 90 days.
I thought we were 5 years away from affording a CPC. But, we are reminded God is in charge.
God is clearly at work setting up our new mission.
Glory to God.
