Int'l Church Planting

We may have found a strategy that works for NEHBC to plant churches overseas via short term mission trips: setting up a good website in the indigenous language and then branding cards with which our teams can blitz areas. The strategy requires: 1. a local believer or missionary as the contact point for follow-up 2. A full and clear gospel presentation on the website.

We have tried this twice this year and it has worked both times in west and south Europe. I've already posted about the tremendous success we had with it in Greece this month. Only today, I got word of its success in Lisbon, Portugal, this past March. Website stats show hundreds of hits on the portuguese website including people indicating salvation and submitting info for follow-up. Can you believe it? NEHBC gave the gospel to hundreds of portuguese people and led some to faith in Christ via this website strategy. I'm awaiting word on the success of the follow-up contacts.

This could be a great way for us to get small groups going that would blossom into churches.

Glory to God.
