Team Greece I Fruit

Our goals for our two 2010 Greece trips is simple: get members of NEHBC on the ground to check out the challenges we will face and begin getting the gospel into the hands of 400,000 West Thess Greeks.

Our strategy for the latter is also simple: 1. Create an evangelism website in Greek--done thanks to an NEHBCer who has joined Christ in His global mission--www.vapor.gr 2. Hand out cards on the streets of Thess with the website address.

Team I has returned and the question is, did the strategy work? Well, the website generates all kinds of stats about who visits the site. We don't have complete info for the week yet, but just last Friday alone, 50 visits (sessions) were made to the site with an average visit time of 14 minutes! (If you are familiar with website visits, they usually last less than 30 seconds. 14 minutes is astounding.)

If the visits lasted an average of 14 minutes, then we can conclude Greeks were reading and listening to the gospel. 50 received the gospel just on Friday alone!

I'm ecstatic.

The work has begun. Team II leaves in two weeks to pick up were Team I left off.

Love Our City, Love the World.
