NEHBC's first apprentice-pastor (2009-2010), Blayne Owens, and his wife of nine months, Cari, spent the weekend with us and were in worship this morning. They are doing very well adjusting to marriage, living in Fort Worth, and getting through their undergraduate work as they steadily march on toward pastoring a church. The journey to a pastorate is long and challenging as the Lord sharpens and builds His man to the point he is ready to lead a flock. Blayne will graduate with his Bachelor's degree this May, 2012, and then begin his Master's degree at Southwestern Seminary (a three year process). It was great spending time with these great friends of ours. God is doing a great work in them.
