Last night at midweek a couple took a step closer to NEHBC membership. A lady confessed deep, secret sin, and began the spiritual healing process. (The spiritual transformation in someone when they bring what's hidden in darkness into the light never ceases to amaze me. The healing visibly begins almost immediately. James 5 says confess your sins to one another and you will be healed.) A lady was able to find assurance regarding her salvation and enthusiastically requested baptism on the spot. A man came under deep conviction regarding his personal lack of involvement in gospel advancement. These are just the responses I know of from last night at NEHBC.
I love that Wednesday night at our church is not just tradition and empty of God's power. The Lord is moving at our midweek gathering. People are being saved, people are dealing with life issues, people are growing in Christ, and our Body is growing.
