Midweek Worship

I'm looking forward to worship at NEHBC tonight. I really enjoy midweek worship. The people who are there may be tired from a long day, but they want to be there. We don't have the stress of multiple services. The age range is really diverse.

The service forces us to think big again; bigger than what is going on at work, in our homes, in our bank account, and in our families. Walking with God requires thinking beyond our immediate lives because He has called us to a life beyond our immediate lives. Midweek worship helps us put things back in perspective. Three long days at work and running around to various activities cause us to zoom in to a narrow focus of life; then we gather for worship and we are forced to zoom out again as we look to what God is up to and we see life from a biblical perspective again. I hope that happens tonight. I hope tonight forces us to zoom out again as we look to what God is up to and consider our lives in light of what He is doing!
