Funeral Message

Burying Christ followers is so much easier than burying those who die dead in their sin, separated from God. There is simply nothing that can be said to comfort the grieving at the funeral for an unbeliever--as we sit in the service, their loved one is simultaneously suffering the full wrath of God. In that case, all I can do is call the living to believe on the Lord Jesus before it's too late for them.

But tomorrow, when we gather to honor Ms Coleman, it will be very different. Ms Coleman is a Christ follower so she is right now in the presence of God for eternity! We are grieving because we have lost a very meaningful human relationship. We are celebrating because Ms Coleman's death ushered in the greatest moment of her life--her arrival in heaven. Praise God.

Tomorrow we will grieve the former and celebrate the latter.
