I am so pleased with the turnout and spirit at tonight's meeting. Excitement and anticipation is high. While I was sharing I felt like a dam wall holding back a surging river that was insisting I step aside and turn the torrent lose. Many commitment cards were turned in.
Here is our path forward:
-We hope to have team leaders selected and in place by early next week.
-Our ministry teams will then have all of May to plan, plot, train, and put their ministry processes in place.
-Sat, June 5th, we are trying to send 100 people for 5 hours to the mission to deep clean the property. Think powerwashing, painting doors and windows, scrubbing floors, washing walls, oiling hinges, cleaning light fixtures, filling a large dumpster with large items that need to be discarded. 500 man hours is enough for an extreme mission make over.
-Week of Monday, June 7, is launch week. I'd like all of our initial ministries to launch this week.
-Sat, June 26, will be our Farrington Mission dedication dinner and program--it is going to be awesome.
NEHBC, we are off and running!
