This week is more than I feel I can handle, but I'm loving it. I'm camp pastor for the SBTC's annual camp, but it's nothing like regular camp. These high school and college students are in classes all day long and in worship services morning and night. They can earn college credit that is transferable anywhere. The students who come to this camp are serious about growing in Christ. There are only a couple of hours of free time each night. We are at Schreiner University, a beautiful campus in Texas' hill country.
My job? Preach morning and night in the camp worship services and teach preaching to students in the preaching track in between.
(A friend of mine did this last year and told me there's not much to it. Not sure what he did last year, but just tomorrow I have 6 preaching and teaching slots of 1 hour or longer.)
I'm loving it and so thankful to be here. But I covet your prayers. I want to be found faithful with this opportunity to impact so many lives for Christ.
Glory to God.
