made it home

I've made it back to Houston--exhausted and exhilarated. I needed this week more than I knew. In the midst of lots of preaching in worship services, teaching classes, mentoring students, and encouraging pastors, my faith and love for the Lord, the local church, and the Kingdom grew. I have so many memories from this camp: from my youngest preaching student (14) preaching his first sermon ever in a local church (6 minutes) to a college student who struggled in his preaching early in the week and on Friday preached to the entire camp and hit a home run, to the college students that told me they surrendered to international missions, to the young men that told me they felt the call to be pastors, to the band with whom I connected in a "only God could have done it" way. I will also remember this camp for the rich quiet times I had with the Lord.

I'm very excited to be reunited with my family after 11 days apart. I missed them tremendously and it's great to be home. I can't wait for NEHBC worship tomorrow morning.
