1 week from today is commitment Sunday. The number of different commitments as well as the size of commitments to serve in NEHBC's various ministries are every bit as important as the number of financial commitments to our building campaign.
The local church is God's plan for making disciples and every NEHBCer serving with joy and excellence is a key component of maximizing our disciple making potential. I'm not fine with 40% or 50% of NEHBCers making a 12 commitment to a place of service. The biblical standard is 100% of NEHBCers and so that is our objective.
Jesus commanded us to pray for the Lord of the harvest to send workers into the fields. So would you join me in asking Him to send workers into our ministries? Would you join me in asking the Lord of the harvest to show NEHBCers our places of service for the next 12 months and would you pray that we would respond in obedience and faith.
May we become a living community of God that exists to make disciples from our city to the ends of the earth, primarily through church planting, because of the call of Christ to go and the cry of the lost to come!
