apprentice in the inner city

This week, NEHBC's senior pastor apprentice is spending the week at Star of Hope's Women and Family Shelter, one of our city's largest inner city missions. I'd encourage you to take a moment to check out that shelter's website. The mission is led by an NEHBCer, Ed Black.

Experiences like spending a week at this shelter will help shape our apprentice's philosophy of ministry and his perspective on the local church.

A big thank you to Ed and the mission for allowing Blayne to intern there this week--providing the opportunity for a budding young pastor has little payoff for the mission right now, but one day when Blayne is a pastor, inner city ministry and those in need will benefit because of the seeds planted in his heart this week.
