Sportsmen's Day

The big push for Sportsmen's Day has begun. The event is right around the corner on Saturday, May 15.

Every year, we have some incredible giveaways from guns to hunting trips to fishing trips to clothes. But, this year, on top of all of that, we will giveaway a brand new Polaris 500 four wheeler!

We'll eat tons of bbq as well as exotic meats like elk, kangaroo, alligator, buffalo, and the like. We'll have skeet shooting, ax throwing, duck hunting dog demos, archery, and the area's largest display of mounted animals from around the world. We'll have professional bass fishermen doing demos on how and when to work different lures. Vendors from all over SE Texas will be there, from car dealers to RV dealers, fishing guides, hunting guides, duck call makers, Academy, deer blind companies, and the like.

The entire parking lot and field are used for the extravaganza. Parking will be at a local high school with shuttle buses for your convenience.

Following dinner, our guest speaker, Chris Osborne, will call us to be men and explain how the best masculinity is rooted in a personal relationship with Christ.

This is a massive undertaking that takes a team of men months to plan and execute. But every minute of planning and execution is worth it because we MUST reach men if we are going to reach families, save marriages, and help children. Research shows that if you reach a lost man for Christ, there is 96% chance his wife and children will come to faith in Christ as well. We must go after the men.

Tickets for the event are $20. We encourage all the men of NEHBC to take the $100 challenge--buy 5 tickets @ $20/each as an offering to the Lord. 1 for you and 4 for your friends, colleagues, and son(s). I took the $100 challenge today and I'm already praying about who I should invite to the event. I'll tell you who I'm not going to invite--anyone who already attends a bible teaching church. We want to reach the unchurched men of our community. Please don't invite your friends who are already attending a solid church.

Men of NEHBC, let's rise to the occasion. This is a tremendous opportunity to bring men to a man's event to hear the message of salvation. Join me in the $100 challenge.

Nathan
