I'm hearing that the Lord has seen fit to use our team's work this week to begin a new bible study among the unreached people group (UPG) called the First Peoples. If this happens it will be a significant development. The start of a new bible study in a UPG is the seed that will sprout into a new church plant.
This is exactly what we would love to see happen on most of our trips: our team lead enough people to Christ, discover enough undiscovered Christ-followers, and round up enough unbelievers who want to know more about Christ to start a new gathering of people. That gathering then gets organized into a church. When we say we want to plant a church on a mission trip, this is what we mean.
I'm hearing that this has happened through Team Canada this week. I can't wait for them to get back so we can hear the full report. How great will it be if NEHBC has begun a new gathering there this week? May it be so.
Meanwhile, please keep praying for our team. They are going door to door in the rain as I type. This is their last full work day and they have several hours of door to door to go. Pray NEHBC gets to every household possible in the time remaining today. Every home is a potential disciple of Christ.
Love our World.
