This morning we are again practicing our school morning routine in anticipation of Monday. This is what happens when your mother is Nicole Lino and to be fair, this kind of planning/leadership/organization is a big part of what makes her such a great mother to four kids.
After yesterday's trial run, she made some tweaks to the morning routine that are being incorporated this morning. She has the kids' school morning routine down to 8 segments and mapped out in writing and picture form so the kids can see what they are supposed to be doing at any given time. The clothes our 4 kids will wear Sunday-Friday next week are already organized in day order in a hanging thing in our closet!
Right now, the older two are on step 5, Nicole is dressing Cassidy, and Chloe is still sleeping--although about to be awakened for feeding time before the dress rehearsal trip to Colton's elementary school.
I'm sitting here simultaneously having childhood flashbacks to an extremely regimented school morning routine and in shock that Nicole has decided to go this route. As one who likes to see plans, schedules, and execution of such, even on the most laidback days, I think this is awesome.
This new chapter of our lives--kids at school, is going to be fun...
