(Here we are a couple of days ago on Get in the Game Sunday.)
The kids: Chloe is now two months old and doing what every two month old does: cries, sleeps, eats, and poops. Cassidy is fixing to turn two and is set to start NEHBC's ECC this Fall. Colton and Campbell have both flourished and grown from the program and we're expecting Cassidy to have the same experience. Campbell had a big week because she turned four and got her cast off. The docs say her arm is good to go. Colton starts Kindergarten in two weeks and his only wish is that school started tomorrow.
The dog: And just like that . . . he is gone. The dog experiment lasted 4 months. With four preschoolers, there was no time for a puppy. He landed on his feet in a great home of some NEHBCers who were thrilled to get him. I believe he was a birthday present. I've already received video footage of him playing with his new family and if he spent any time missing us, it didn't last long. I don't have whatever it is that enables people to live with something that isn't working out, so though the decision was painful, it was best to shutter our dog owner status.
Nicole is doing well. The fourth kid finally staggered us and we've had a time adjusting, but Nicole is a phenominal mother with a deep resevoir of gumption and grit and a deep faith in the Lord. She has found her stride which really helped me to find mine at home and we now have something that resembles a routine. How I ended up married to her is beyond me, but after Christ giving me Himself, she is by far the next best thing He has ever given me.
That's it for now.
