It was fantastic being back at NEHBC today. I sincerely missed our church family the last two weeks. I love the people called NEHBC..all of you.
We had really good energy in both our services today--especially the 9am. Many commented about sensing the Holy Spirit at work. I sensed it too.
I'll find out specifics about the Get in the Game Sunday results tomorrow. I'm very hopeful. The number of people commiting to serve is a true measure of how we are doing at making disciples. One thing disciples do is serve the local church, so Get in the Game Sunday is a good spiritual health check for our church. I want to know what % of our members and pending members committed to serve and how many more people committed to serve compared to last year.
Join us for midweek worship at 7pm Wednesday. I'm starting a miniseries on church membership that is part of a bigger series this Fall about the local church that I'm calling, Church Life. I want to do a better job teaching NEHBCers about the local church. Come explore the Scriptures with me.
