One of the hardest things about having a friend from age 8 that has been like a brother, but lives 10,000 miles away on another continent, is saying good bye after a meaningful, but brief visit. Terence and Michelle just spent 8 days with us. We had some great talks about the Lord, the local church, missions, South African, America, sports, social issues, marriage, our parenting. We reminisced about our childhood. It was very good for me and my family to spend a week in such close proximity with people from a very differenct culture. Yesterday, they left. It was really hard watching him walk into the airport since we never know how many years it will be until we will see each other again. I'll miss you, my friend. Until the Lord crosses our paths again...
