Packing Up and Heading Home

Well, as they say, all good things must come to an end. Our time here was a blur, but our memory bank is overflowing. This was such a fantastic time for our family.

It is a family tradition to write our name in the ground (snow, sand, rock, grass) and the year and take a pic when we go on a trip. Above is the pic of this trip. The collection of these pics over the years is awesome.

I will say the Europeans know something about how to take a holiday. The American tradition of one week vacations has always surprised me and I believe is directly tied to the high stress related medical conditions we have in our culture. A person cannot relax in one week. When Europeans take three and four weeks vacation in one go, we think its crazy, but they are completely detoxed and rejuvenated when they return. This trip reminded me a little of the annual three week vacations my family took when we were kids. Those were great times.

Today we pack it all up and tomorrow we head home. God is so good to us in that we don't dread returning home. We love what we do. We are looking forward to getting back in the swing of things.
