annual, external financial audit

Today and tomorrow, PickensSnodgrass&Koch (PSK) out of Dallas, TX, are snooping around our business office reviewing our financials, internal controls, and policies and procedures, as well as performing risk assessment interviews and such with the staff. We've done this annually since we launched the church. When we rewrote our by-laws in 2005, I made sure an annual, external financial audit was written into our governing documents. It is very important that our financials are squeaky clean. Money needs to be appropriated with integrity, our financial reports need to be accurate, and we must make sure there are no financial shenanigans at NEHBC. We must all be able to be confident in our business office and church's finances.

We've received 8 successive outstanding reports and we'll get the offical report on this 9th audit in 3-4 weeks.
