I was reminded last night how much I love our midweek worship service. One
thing is for sure, no church in Houston is offering a midweek worship
service with the quality of music we offer. The stage is full of people from
the chorus to the praise team to the musicians, the song selection is good,
and it is done with excellence. The lighting and multimedia is used in a way
that contributes significantly to the worship environment. Last night we
watched a brief video about half of a village of the Moi people coming to
faith in Christ. We had a special prayer time gathered around those in the
service especially in need of prayer. I enjoyed kicking off the Church Life
Series by teaching on church membership. When I consider the number of
NEHBCers who choose to worship twice each week instead of just once, I'm
disappointed. But when I consider the worship experience we are offering on
Wednesday nights, I get pumped. God is good.
