I've been looking forward to this. Starting tomorrow night and over the course of the Fall, I'm doing a series on the local church I'm calling, Church Life. The local church is one of my deep passions. Afterall: 1. It is one of only two institutions designed by God (other: marriage) and thus not a man made idea. 2. It is God's organizational plan for His people until Christ's return. Out of all the options He had in his infinite wisdom, He chose local churches as the very best way to organize His children on planet earth. 3. God's plan for Kingdom growth on planet earth is the local church. For these reasons, the local church should be a passion of every believer. At the very least, it should be understood by every believer.
Church Life is designed to equip Christ followers to understand what God's Word says about the key components of the local church. We will spend the first three Wednesdays looking at church membership and then move to other components.
This starts in midweek worship tomorrow at 7pm.
