We had the best commitment Sunday we've ever had regarding both the number of people pledging to serve our body and the number of people pledging for the first time. Serving the local church is a mark of a disciple and thus a good measuremnt of a church's health. I'm very pleased. NEHBC, thank you for responding to the will of God. I'm proud of you. God is good.
This doesn't mean people who didn't sign up aren't needed. The objective isn't for every place of service to be filled, the objective is for everyone who considers NEHBC to be their local church to serve the body. We have members who haven't pledged yet. Not to mention, we still can use more people in almost all of the ministry areas.
While we did very well overall, a couple of particular ministries did not fare well: 1. Website 2. Soundbooth.
Members who did not pledge to serve our body will find their names posted in the info guide this coming Sunday...just kidding. I will call for residual commitments this coming Sunday, though. People can still pledge on-line or in person this weekend.
Glory to God.
