South Dakota yesterday. His update on the team and the explanation of their
work assignment was good, but, come on, how could one not be moved by Scott
starting off our next congregational song live via video from South Dakota
and then the musicians in our worship center taking the baton while Scott
was faded out and we finished out the song here in Houston. While we sang
it, Hell Fighters were singing it also in their worship service in South
Dakota. That is the picture you can see in this post. Awesome. I'm so glad
that worked out. We were wondering all week long how to pull that off.
Our team is doing well. Yesterday was their first work day which at the
giant motorcycle rally can only be described as "shock and awe". The first
time out, mission trip participants experience tremendous culture shock and
a sense of feeling overwhelmed. It is a big plus for our first timers that
we have so many returning participants on the team--that makes the
transition into the ministry context easier, to be sure. Today is day two
and we can expect the team to be more at ease and ready to go. NEHBC is
making disciples from our city to the ends of the earth.
Love our City, Love the World.
